The winners of the 2018 eviivo Awards were announced last night at the ‘Oscars of the hospitality industry’ ceremony hosted at glamorous Quaglino’s in London’s St James’s.
More than 100 UK properties across the independent accommodation sector were shortlisted as finalists, with winners selected over eight categories. The eviivo Awards, now in its fifth year, was judged by a panel of industry experts, including celebrity chef Phil Vickery. The awards seek to recognise the best of the UK’s world-class inns B&Bs, guesthouses, serviced apartments, self-catering units and small independent hotels.
Innkeeper editor Bill Lumley presented the award for multi-property wizard to managed house controller Julie Moss of Arkell Brewery in Swindon.

Opening the awards ceremony last night eviivo CEO Michele Fitzpatrick said: “We were overwhelmed by the number and quality of entries we received, and proud to see so many hosts and hoteliers across the board – from B&Bs and independent hotels to self-catering, apartment and alternative accommodation providers – doing such a fantastic job.
“There is definitely a revival of B&Bs taking place, with a fabulous range of places to stay on offer, whether it’s a windmill, houseboat, ancient inn or classic seaside guest house. It’s certainly safe to say the independent accommodation sector is thriving and providing some of the UK’s most special holiday experiences for domestic and international visitors.
“Congratulations to all the winners on their well-deserved wins, awards well earned.”
