We are proud to announce the official launch of the inaugural Excellence in Luxury Service Awards incorporating Innkeeper and Luxury Bed & Breakfast magazines.
The awards span categories for B&B owners and innkeepers as well as for luxury suppliers, and range from Best Rural Inn to Best Luxury Breakfast Product.
The ultimate purpose of the awards is to recognise and promote excellence in luxury across the premium UK inn and B&B market and thus help raise even higher the existing bar on standards in pubs with accommodation and bed & breakfast guesthouses.
We are also delighted to announce our panel of esteemed awards judges, which includes Inn Places managing director David Hancock; Bed & Breakfast Association chairman David Weston; hospitality business adviser Tina Boden of the Tiny Troubleshooter; Be My Guest event director Diane Lloyd; hospitality coach Yvonne Halling; owner of The Chapel luxury B&B in Harrogate Mark Hinchliffe; and Innkeeper magazine editor Bill Lumley.
In Places’ David Hancock has been involved for many years with the Morning Advertiser Publican and Great British Pub Awards. He told Innkeeper magazine: “These Excellence in Luxury Service awards are about showcasing the quality of the inns and B&Bs. Many individual owners and some of the pub groups are investing serious money in the overall experience of staying at an inn beyond home from home comforts, and adding that extra detail. The Innkeeper awards are showcasing that investment and the quality that is on offer in the marketplace now. I think that is very important as regards people’s expectations when they stay in an inn. It is a great honour to be asked to be part of that.” Deadline for entries is 31 March 2019. The winners will be announced at a central London awards ceremony on 9 May at the Crypt on the Green, Clerkenwell, on the edge of the City of London.
